How our Overseas Clients conduct the interview process
Families can interview their shortlisted candidates in a number of ways:
- The quickest route is to conduct several in-depth Skype/Facetime/telephone interviews, to telephone previous employers for a reference then offer employment. This can suit a client who lives further afield than Europe and this also speeds up the process especially if the client is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible.
- Or you can hold initial Skype/Facetime/telephone interviews before arranging for the preferred candidate(s) to have a final interview in the family home. The candidate would take an early morning flight to the client’s country and return to the UK later that day which avoids having to arrange an overnight stay (depending on distance of course). This is ideal as the candidate(s) will meet your children and see for themselves the family home, the accommodation and the local area.
- Or you can hold initial Skype/Facetime/telephone interviews prior to coming to London to interview several candidates in person. Then invite one or two of the candidates to spend one or two days with your family for an extended interview before offering employment to the candidate of your choice.
We will work with the Client’s preferred method of communication and process and guide both parties to assist with the selection process so that the right decision is made and that all goes smoothly. Do bear in mind that we always ask that Clients make contact as early as possible with their short-listed candidates as they are in great demand and get snapped up quickly especially those with an ASAP start.
